Rafting the American River, South Fork, Chili Bar – June 14
This year, we are rafting the upper section of the South Fork called the Chili Bar with Mariah Wilderness Expeditions. Water is released so the rapids are fully intact. Class II-III rapids; open to families with kids ages 7 and up. Rafting starts at 8:30 am Sunday morning and ends at 2:30 with a BBQ lunch.
Traditionally, we have a campout on Saturday night and go rafting on Sunday. You can camp, and get in a camping night, and raft or just raft, just be sure to be there by 8:00 am on Sunday if you are planning on rafting only.
