Christmas Tree Sales

Every year our troop helps the Kiwanis sell Christmas trees on the lot on El Camino just south of Galvez by the Stanford stadium.

Dominic gave a brief presentation on this to the boys at the Nov 12th meeting. This is a great opportunity to earn service hours, and if you are working towards the Citizenship in the Community merit badge, this work counts toward the eight hours needed. All Scouts in the troop are expected to work at least one time slot.  You can sign up for one or more of the three-hour time slots:

• 10 am to 1 pm: one Scout and one adult (or more)

• 1 pm to 4 pm: three to four Scouts and one adult (or more)

• 4 pm to 7 pm: three to four Scouts and one adult (or more)

**Please note that each shift requires at least one adult to be with the boys.

Dates:

 -Saturday, December 20

Come prepared:

• Arrive on time.

• Wear sturdy shoes or boots.

• Be ready for cold, damp, or wet weather.

• Beware that sap may get on your clothing.

• Wear your troop T-shirt.

• Bring a snack, but the Kiwanis often have food for us.
